“SECOND TUESDAYS” Outreach Coordination Gathering. TUESDAY, Dec. 11, 5:00 pm - about 6:15 pm. YOU are most welcome to join Barbara Everett, Lyn Solomon, Sally Mavroides, Janis Rennie, Elizabeth Rixham, Rev. Marilyn, and others in the Common Room on Second Tuesdays of each month at 5:00 pm, if you’re feeling stirred up to help invent & coordinate opportunities at St. David’s for awareness-building and action in support of racial reconciliation, social justice, and creation care.

HOUSE CHURCH: The next House Church will be held on Dec. 13th at 2:00 pm at the home of Don & Tammy Blackwell, 26 Avon Rd., Yarmouth Port. A House Church is a spiritual and fellowship gathering for communion in a parishioner’s home. The Reverend Andi Taylor will lead the informal gathering which will conclude with the Eucharist, followed by refreshments. Please sign-up in the Common Room.

ADVENT QUIET DAY: The Society of the Companions of the Holy Cross will be having an Advent Quiet Day on Dec. 15 from 9 am to 2 pm at Holy Spirit in Orleans, MA. We hope you will consider joining us for a day of reflection and renewal. If you need more information, please call Linda Halvorsen at (508) 348-1225.

THRIFT SHOP: The Thrift shop is looking for volunteers. The hours are 10AM-2PM, Wed. – Sat. If you are interested in working, see Jean Blake, Becky Parsons or Anna Heaney at the 8AM service, or Marsha Fredericks, Sandi Eldridge, Janet Cardillo, or Phil Evangelous at the 10AM service. 

PRAYER SHAWLS: There is a plethora of prayer shawls in the sacristy. If anyone is visiting someone who is ill, please help yourself to a prayer shawl. 

FROM THE FOOD BASKET TO THE FOOD PANTRY! It is almost time to make up a new schedule for the people delivering all those food items each week. Each year, some people find that they can no longer participate, so replacements are always needed. Can you help? For more information, please talk to Elizabeth Rixham (508-385-7450). Thanks. 

FOOD BASKET REPORT: Last Sunday, we received 42 food items. Today is FOCUS SUNDAY!! We are collecting for A BABY CENTER, a Cape Cod Council of Churches program for babies in need. Hope you were able to bring something. It is not too late if you didn't. Next week will fine. The biggest request is for DIAPERS, Sizes 5, 6, 7 and Pull Ups. Also needed are: Wipes, Winter Pajamas, Clothes and Jackets, sizes 12 mos. - 5T. Thank you so much. Elizabeth Rixham. 

THE TAKEAWAY MEAL: Meal # 22 is on Wed., Dec. 19th, just a week and a half away! It will feature sliced ham and potatoes. Please note all you faithful bakers, the plan is to serve CHRISMAS COOKIES! No brownies are needed. Food preparation and cookie packaging will begin on Tuesday, December 18 at 9:00 AM and food prep will continue on Wednesday at 9:00 AM. Whatever time you can give, will be much appreciated! There is a sign up sheet on the table in the Common Room. If you wish to make a financial contribution, please indicate on the donation that it is for The Takeaway Meal. DYECH CARING CARDS Do you have a food card(s) in your wallet for your next shopping trip? You all know how it work.5 % goes to HAC to help some family remain in their home! It’s the “Giving Season” and we can give without spending any additional money! We sold about $1,600 in cards last Sunday which means, at 5 %, we gave $80 to HAC.
