THRIFT SHOP HELP WANTED – Mon. & Tues., Nov. 4 and 5 from 10-2: This month the thrift shop will be holding 2 work days. (We’re getting ready for Christmas!). We will be unpacking, sorting, cleaning and pricing recent contributions. Please join us --for as little as an hour. No stair climbing required – and we have jobs that can be done sitting down! We hope to see you! Thank you and God Bless. 

CHRISTMAS ON OLD MAIN STREET FAIR & CHOWDAH FEST - Nov. 9th, 9AM – 3PM!! There is a sign-up sheet in the Common room for anyone who would like to sign up to help at the fair. o Please bring your completed raffle baskets to Nelson Hall on Thursday, Nov. 7th, 1pm – 3pm or Friday, Nov. 8th, 9am-4pm. Baked goods, knit items, sewn items, crafts, ornaments and anything else you have made can also be dropped off at this time. See you at Christmas on Old Main Street. 

HOUSE CHURCH NOV. 14th AT 6:30 pm: The next House Church will be held at the home of Betty Logan, 142 Swan Lake Rd., West Yarmouth. The Reverend Andi Taylor will lead the evening which will conclude with the Eucharist, followed by refreshments. Please sign-up in the Common Room or call the office. 

TAKEAWAY MEAL PROGRAM Nov. 20th: We will serve a turkey dinner to the clients of the Paper Pantry. If you could prepare two dozen cookies or brownies (no nuts please) and drop them off in Nelson Hall or the Common Room by 9:00 am Tuesday morning (11/19) it would be greatly appreciated. Please help us in Nelson Hall on Tues. (11/19) or Wed. (11/20) at 9:00 am when we prepare/package the food or on Wed. at 12:30 to help serve the meal from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. If you would like to support us with a financial contribution, please note on the donation that it is for the Takeaway Meal Program. 

YARMOUTH COOKIE STROLL DEC. 14TH: Once again St. David's will be participating in the South Yarmouth Library's Annual Cookie Stroll. We will open our doors and welcome the strollers with a warm fire, nice beverage and wonderful music. We will also be offering a light lunch of soup and sandwich for the strollers to purchase. To help make the event a success, we need greeters, servers and hosts along with sandwich makers. Sign-up sheets will be available in the Common Room. If you have any questions, please ask Sandy Evangelous or Richard Banks. 

DO YOU LIKE TO BAKE AND MEET PEOPLE?: In Jan., we will need a new coffee host for the 10:00 am service on the fourth Sunday of each month. Lynn McGrath will be stepping away from that role after Dec.. The coffee host will bring a special treat for the attendees at the 10:00 am service and will also make the coffee and pour a beverage for people to enjoy. If you are interested in taking over this role, or perhaps sharing it with someone, please let Richard Banks know and he will show you how the coffee is made and where supplies are kept. Richard can be reached at 508-619-7977. 

FOOD BASKET REPORT: We collected 68 items last Sunday. Our total for Oct. is 288. FOCUS FOUR has started! For the next three weeks, we will continue to concentrate on Thanksgiving Dinner items. The most needed items are: Stuffing Mix; Olives, Gherkins, Nuts; Cranberry Sauce; Canned Vegetables; Canned Yams; Turkey or Chicken Gravy; Crackers; Cornbread or Quick Bread Mix; Pie Filling (NO PUMPKIN!);Pie Crust Mix; Boxed Mashed Potatoes. Grocery Store Gift Cards are also welcome. They will be used to buy needed items and can be purchased at the DYECH table in the Common Room. Thank you so much for all you do. Elizabeth Rixham

DYECH CARING CARDS: Look over our list of stores/businesses where we can obtain cards for gift giving. The recipient will be very happy to receive a card/cards to his/her favorite store and your shopping is done! Remember, you can purchase small denomination cards ($5, $10, $20, $25) to be used to purchase turkeys for Thanksgiving baskets.
